A rapper who once cracked the UK Top 20 has been found guilty of attempted murder after shooting a man in the head during a drive-by attack in west London.
Victim ‘Lucky Not to Die’ After Head, Mouth and Body Shot
Nathan Tokosi, 25, known professionally as DigDat, shot Daniel Offei-Ntow, 27, as he sat in his Mitsubishi on November 20, 2023. The incident happened in Notting Hill, and at least six shots were fired from a stolen Audi. Mr Offei-Ntow was hit in the head, mouth and body and only narrowly survived.
The attack left the car riddled with bullet holes and soaked in blood. The victim managed to return to his flat, where police found him in shock and severely injured.
Tokosi Convicted on Multiple Firearms Charges
Tokosi, from Deptford, south-east London, was convicted of attempted murder, possessing a self-loading pistol and ammunition with intent to endanger life, and possessing a prohibited firearm.
Detectives later found a latex glove, a firearm and three rounds of ammunition near where the Audi had been abandoned. DNA evidence linked Tokosi to the vehicle. Investigators also found Tokosi had borrowed a BMW to make trips to Notting Hill on consecutive nights from his father’s home, placing him at the scene.

Instagram Posts Cleared Rapper Wesson
DNA from artist Kamal Benjamin, aka Wesson, was also found in the Audi, but social media posts showed he was in Dubai at the time of the shooting. Videos of Benjamin at events featuring Lil Durk and 50 Cent helped clear him.
Police Condemn ‘Savage Attack’
Detective Constable Hannah Forrest said: “This was a savage attack, with the victim requiring emergency surgery. Tokosi is a highly dangerous individual who had only just been released from prison.”
Sentencing has been adjourned to a date yet to be confirmed.
