Emergency Services Called to Denton Following Welfare Concerns

A man in his 40s has been found dead in a woodland area in Denton, Tameside, after emergency services responded to concerns for his welfare.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to Cemetery Road at around 8am on Saturday, March 8, where they discovered the deceased man.

Large Emergency Response at the Scene

A significant police presence was reported, with around eight emergency vehicles attending the incident as a major police cordon was put in place.

Police Confirm No Suspicious Circumstances

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police confirmed:

“Shortly before 8am this morning, we were called to Cemetery Road in Denton to reports of concern for welfare for a man. Emergency services attended and sadly a man in his 40s was found deceased. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances.”

Coronial Investigation Expected

While police do not suspect foul play, a coronial investigation is expected to establish the cause of death.
