Student Eyewitness: ‘Three Bodies on the Floor’
Giangiacomo, 20, a student at King’s College, said he arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and saw three bodies on the floor. He told the Express: “People were seriously injured, and there were around 30 emergency service vehicles. I saw CPR being carried out on one person.”
He added: “It’s kind of weird because it’s a pedestrian area. Cars don’t transit on this side. I think the van either passed through bollards that were lowered down or accelerated really fast and went through the grass at high speed.”
Photographs from the scene show a damaged van, multiple emergency vehicles, and a police tent near the university entrance. The area remains cordoned off while police continue their investigation.
