Hampshire Police are investigating the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Totton, with detectives urging locals to assist with information while warning against speculation.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson stated:
“I know this incident is extremely concerning for the local community, and we are working hard to investigate what has happened as a priority.”
Lead investigator Detective Inspector Claire Shawley added:
“Our team has been conducting inquiries in the town throughout the weekend, and officers are carrying out additional patrols. We are also supporting the victim and her family.”
