Police are urgently hunting for a Birmingham man who appeared to be crying in his mugshot after being recalled to prison.
Emotional Mugshot Sparks Public Appeal
Shawn Labhya, 40, is wanted for breaching the conditions of a court order and failing to comply with recall terms. West Midlands Police issued a photograph of the wanted man on Wednesday (March 20), showing Labhya looking emotional and failing to make eye contact with the camera.
He is now at the centre of a city-wide manhunt, with officers warning the public not to approach him if seen.

Recall to Prison and Court Breach
A spokesperson for the force confirmed: “The 40-year-old from the Birmingham area is wanted on recall to prison and failing to comply with a court order. We need to find him.”
Authorities have not released details of the original offence or what led to the breach, but the recall indicates a failure to meet strict probation or licence conditions.
Call 999 if You See Him
Police are urging anyone who knows where Labhya is or has seen him recently to contact them immediately. “If you see Labhya, ring 999 immediately, quoting crime reference number 20/133261/25,” the spokesperson added.
Those who wish to report information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Labhya is believed to still be in the Birmingham area, and officers are continuing their search to locate him as soon as possible.
