Man Found Guilty of ‘Most Horrific of Murders’ After Body Parts Found in 19 Places

Brutal killing in shared Salford home

A man has been convicted of murdering his housemate and dumping his dismembered remains across multiple locations in Greater Manchester. Marcin Majerkiewicz, 42, repeatedly struck Stuart Everett, 67, with a hammer-like weapon before using a hacksaw to dismember his body inside the home they shared in Winton, Salford.

Mr Everett, originally from Derby and born Roman Ziemacki, was of Polish descent and lived with Majerkiewicz and another Polish man, Michal Polchowski, who worked at a local food-processing factory. A murder investigation began after Mr Everett’s torso was discovered at Kersal Dale nature reserve on April 4 last year.

Gruesome disposal using public transport

CCTV footage later showed Majerkiewicz carrying a heavy bag-for-life, which the court heard contained the torso, before being arrested by police on the Number 100 bus. His arrest led to a wider investigation, with detectives eventually finding 27 body parts in six different locations. Nine packages were recovered from Chesterfield Close in Winton, some wrapped in cling film. More were discovered at Linneyshaw Colliery Wood, Boggart Hole Clough, and Blackleach Reservoir.

Forensic searches revealed the only significant blood-staining inside the home was on the carpet in Majerkiewicz’s bedroom. A section of the carpet had been cut out and replaced, with blood traces found beneath the floorboards and on furniture. The removed carpet was later found in a skip outside the property.

Pathologist describes fatal head injuries

Home Office pathologist Dr Philip Lumb confirmed that Mr Everett died from severe blunt force trauma to the head. “Something blunt has punched a hole in the skull,” he said. Dismemberment was carried out with a serrated hacksaw, according to tool-mark analysis.

Local reaction and new tenant response

A local resident who knew Mr Everett said: “It’s absolutely horrible how anyone can do that to another human being.” Another neighbour added: “It was quite a sad time really. The house has been re-done now and there are people living there. I’m not sure I could have done that knowing someone had been murdered there.”

However, the new tenant told LBC they are comfortable in the property: “We are doing fine, it’s really fine, the area is really good. It’s just a house, it’s completely normal to have some incidents. Sometimes it happens. The landlord told me everything about the incident which happened before, but it’s in the past, so it’s really fine.”
