By submitting content and ticking the confirmation box, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. You confirm that you are the creator and legal owner of the story, text, images, videos or any other material you submit. You also confirm that the content does not infringe the rights of any third party.

  2. You grant CrimeWatch full worldwide rights to use, edit, publish, distribute and monetise your submitted content in any format, on any platform, for any length of time. This includes sublicensing your content to media partners and news agencies for publication and distribution.

  3. Publication or use of your content on CrimeWatch platforms does not entitle you to payment. Submission does not guarantee publication or distribution beyond CrimeWatch.

  4. CrimeWatch may offer payments for selected stories where they are distributed widely by our approved network of publishing partners. Payments are not guaranteed and are provided solely at our discretion. The current incentive structure is:

    • £50 if the story is published by regional partner news outlets

    • £250 if the story is published by national partner news outlets, and includes both photographs and video content suitable for publication

    Only one payment level applies based on the highest level of partner distribution achieved.

  5. If your content qualifies for payment, CrimeWatch will notify you and arrange payment within a reasonable timeframe. CrimeWatch may require ID verification before releasing funds.

  6. You waive any right to further royalties, residuals or financial claims connected to the content, even if CrimeWatch or a third party generates significant revenue from it.

  7. You consent to CrimeWatch and its media partners editing your content where required for accuracy, clarity or legal compliance.

  8. You confirm that any individuals identifiable in your content have given their permission for their image or personal information to be shared publicly, or you understand that CrimeWatch may require evidence of such consent before distribution.

  9. You agree that CrimeWatch may store your submission for review, and remove or withdraw the content at any time without notice.

  10. These terms form the entire agreement regarding your submission and are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
