Police have launched a nationwide search for Derek Johnson, 58, who is wanted in connection with multiple sex offences across Kent, Gloucestershire, and other areas in the UK. Authorities are urging the public not to approach him and instead report any sightings immediately.

According to Gloucestershire Constabulary, Johnson befriended vulnerable victims online before travelling to meet them in person and committing the alleged offences. Officers believe he may have committed crimes in multiple regions and are actively working with other police forces to track him down.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary stated:
“We are appealing for help in locating a man wanted in connection with a number of sex offences. Derek Johnson is believed to have committed offences in Gloucestershire, Kent, and potentially elsewhere in the UK.”
Johnson Absconds After Arrest
Johnson was arrested last month by Hertfordshire Police but later absconded from bail. Detectives now fear he could be anywhere in the country.
The police added:
“He was arrested by Hertfordshire Police last month at our request before later absconding from bail. It’s believed he could now be anywhere in the country.”
