Last Known Movements

The sisters were captured on CCTV leaving Market Street near Victoria Bridge at approximately 2:12 am, heading towards the Aberdeen Boat Club. Police reports describe both women as white, of slim build, with long brown hair.

Intensive Search Efforts

Chief Inspector Darren Bruce confirmed that “extensive enquiries” are ongoing to trace the sisters. Specialist search advisors, local officers, police dogs, and the Police Scotland Marine Unit have been deployed in the search. Authorities are focusing on the Torry side of Victoria Bridge, an area known for its commercial and industrial premises.

Chief Inspector Bruce urged:
“We would ask businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road areas to review any CCTV footage from the early hours of Tuesday, 7 January. Dashcam footage from drivers in the area may also be vital to our investigation.”

Public Appeal for Information

Police are actively speaking with people who know Eliza and Henrietta and are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who may have seen the sisters or has information about their whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting incident number 0735 of 7 January 2025.

How You Can Help

  • Businesses in the South Esplanade and Menzies Road areas: Check your CCTV from the early hours of 7 January.
  • Drivers in the area at that time: Review your dashcam footage.
  • Members of the public: Report any sightings or information, no matter how minor it may seem.

Community Support Critical

The local Aberdeen community is encouraged to stay vigilant and share any relevant details with authorities. Public cooperation could play a crucial role in bringing Eliza and Henrietta home safely.
